MTU Museum
MTU Aero Engines' museum boasts one of the finest collections of aircraft engine exhibits worldwide. Since last year, the company has been displaying its treasures, which give an overview of the history of powered flight, in an expanded and modernized building. On almost 850 square meters, more than 30 items are on display. Some of the engines are the last extant copies in the world; they have been restored to mint condition in a painstaking effort.
In 2011, the museum will again open its doors to the public on four occasions. People are welcome to visit the unique collection of propulsion systems held by Germany's leading aero engine manufacturer on three Sundays:

MTU engine experts will be available on site to answer visitors' questions and offer short guided tours for interested guests. Admission is free.
In addition, the museum will open its doors for the Long Night of Munich Museums on October 20.
