Accessory repair and LRU management
In addition to the repair of engine parts, the overhaul of engine modules and engine teardown, MTU Repair Services also offer maintenance and repair services for engine accessories. Accessories include parts, which are not integral to the engine but are essential for its smooth operation, such as starters, fuel and hydraulic pumps, actuators, sensors, valves and tubing.
Expertise and experience in accessory repair
MTU’s Repair Services offer a first-class and comprehensive spectrum of fast and reliable accessory repairs, which is constantly being expanded and fine-tuned. The repair of accessories requires expertise and experience. MTU Maintenance has both. More than 100,000 accessories have been repaired by MTU's shops worldwide since MTU Maintenance was founded 30 years ago. Thanks to its decades of experience with accessory repair work performed in the course of scheduled shop visits, MTU is now in a position to offer a wide variety of accessory repair processes also as a separate service, independently of engine repair or overhaul.
All-round carefree service packages with LRU management
MTU has developed all-round carefree service packages under which it not only repairs accessories removed during the shop visit but also provides support for all of the customer’s line replaceable units (LRU), which includes all accessory repairs necessary during the time between scheduled shop visits. Customers can choose tailor-made solutions from several support levels ranging from maintenance and repair services to comprehensive LRU management and support programs. Full LRU management is part of MTU’s Total Part Care (TPC®) program.
