ERCoatnt is an MTU patented high-temperature erosion protection coating for high-pressure compressor blades and vanes. Utilizing nano-technology, ERCoatnt is designed to improve specific fuel consumption, reduce CO2 emissions, and extend the lifespan of blades and vanes by protecting the parent metal from extensive damage.
ERCoatnt: a well-proven protection against erosion
Service experience has shown that ERCoatnt significantly improves the erosion resistance of engines operating in harsh environments such as desert sand. This considerably reduces material costs at subsequent overhauls and extends the time between overhauls.
